Responsibility Overview
-Cook and prepare food according to the menu using outlined recipes
-Ensure freshness of all foods by following proper food storage & rotation policies
-Comply with food and beverage regulations
-Maintain a positive attitude which supports team performance and productivity

Qualifications
~High School diploma (or equivalent) or technical school
~A minimum of 2 years prior experience in food preparation in a full-service restaurant and/or in an institutional setting preferred
~A combination of experience, education, and other qualifications may be considered
~Understanding of kitchen etiquette
~Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor your area
~Ability to follow directions and perform as directed
~Ability to sit, stand for long periods of time, walk, reach, and use hands
~Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds above head
~Ability to stay composed under pressure
~Part-time & full-time available

On the outskirts of downtown Valpo, adjacent to Creekside Trails, Trailyard is a one of kind destination of experiences like no other in northwest Indiana. We offer a bike shop, restaurant, bar, scenic outdoor patio, and coffee shop. Restaurant, bar, and coffee shop will open September 2022.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
