LOOKING FOR A LINE COOK JOB?

Harris Grocery is now hiring for the upcoming 2023 season!

Offering a unique Breakfast and Lunch menu, Harris Grocery is a small general store/deli that offers both hot and cold sandwiches as well as a variety of soups and specialty items.

We're seeking motivated, outgoing and creative line cooks. Our line cooks work to provide top quality food and service to our customers while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast paced work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform opening procedures
• Cook high quality items for both our breakfast and lunch menu.
• Provide top-notch customer service to all of our customers including answering all questions, providing area information, and maintaining and communicating knowledge of all services
• Perform closing procedures, including daily cleaning, trash-pick up, and stocking
• Other tasks and assistance to team members, as qualified and as assigned

Requirements:

• Must be 16 years or older
• Must have reliable transportation
• Exhibit sound and safe judgement
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Problem-solving and initiative
• Working on a busy team
• Organizational skills
• Conscientiousness and attentive to detail
• Team-orientation and ability to take direction

Physical Demands:

• Energetic and able to respond quickly to visual cues and sounds
• Able to stand for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a kitchen

Desirable qualifications:

• Customer service experience
• Line Cook experience
• Baking experience
