Job Description

We’re looking for friendly, energetic, and motivated people to join our team at the Falls Bistro in Cobblestone Hotel & Suites in International Falls and help us launch our new restaurant and bar. As part of the culinary team you will be providing an above average customer experience for hotel guests, your neighbors, and peers. We will be shaping an exciting menu through which you will be able to express your culinary creativity.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Produce high quality plates using established recipes and high standards
• Be proficient in all aspects of food preparation in an organized, safe and timely manner
• Properly store foods in designated storage areas adhering to safe food handling standards
• Ensure cleanliness of work areas, equipment and utensils
• Washing of dishes, pans, kettles, food trays, boards as required
• Ensure compliance with all sanitary and safety requirements
• Maintain high focus on positive customer experience
• Handle pans, kettles, food trays and other cooking related implements in a safe and efficient manner between work areas and food storage areas
• Distribute supplies, utensils and related items as required

Qualifications

Successful candidates will preferably have restaurant/food preparation experience.

• Have excellent communication/interpersonal skills
• A true willingness to provide high quality service to hotel guests, local customers, and peers
• Solid organizational skills, ability to work independently and experience with computers/technology
• High work ethic with an excellent sense of responsibility

Work requires being able to stand for extended hours as well as reach upwards, bend, safely handle all implements of the tasks required for food preparation in an efficient and timely manner, and being able to routinely lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 45 pounds.

Work schedule may vary and as such successful candidates must have flexibility to work late evenings, weekends and holidays. Must be fluent in English and possess legal work authorization in the United

States.
