The Limited Practice Officer (LPO) in Washington is a licensed professional who is authorized to perform specific legal tasks under the supervision of an attorney.

Job Description:

• This is a position that requires a high level of technical expertise and knowledge. This position is responsible for providing legal advice and services to clients in a limited practice area under the supervision of an attorney.
• An LPO is expected to conduct legal research on specific issues and provide results to the supervising attorney.
• An LPO must possess excellent problem-solving skills and be able to communicate effectively with clients.
• The primary duties of the LPO include researching and drafting legal documents, such as wills, trusts, contracts, and other documents related to the limited practice area.
• An LPO may assist with court procedures, such as filing documents and preparing for court appearances.
• A LPO is licensed to select, prepare, and complete approved documents for use in closing a loan, extension of credit, sale, or other transfer of real or personal property.
• The LPO must also be able to evaluate legal documents, advise clients on legal matters, and refer clients to other professionals when necessary.
• The LPO must be knowledgeable of the laws governing the limited practice area, as well as any applicable ethical standards.
• The LPO must be able to maintain accurate records and communicate with clients in a professional manner.
• The LPO must also be able to remain flexible in order to meet the changing needs of clients.

Requirements:

• The LPO must have at least a bachelor's degree in law, as well as a minimum of two years of experience in the legal field.
• The LPO must also have a valid license to practice law in the Washington.
• The LPO must have excellent organizational and communication skills and must be able to work independently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 per hour
