Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist

Our fast-paced Radiology Diagnostic department is looking for a PRN Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist. Is that you?


Work location: Texas Health Plano Campus, 6200 West Parker Road, Plano, TX 75093

Work hours: PRN; Variable

Radiology Diagnostic Department highlights:

Here’s What You Need

  • Other Completion of an AART-approved Limited Radiologic Technology or Radiologic Technology education program required
  • Associate degree Radiologic preferred
  • 1 year office experience preferred
  • Technologist that has worked in a hospital setting preferred or is a MRT Radiology student
  • CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist Either by the TDH or TMB upon hire required or
  • LMRT - Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist Either by the TDH or TMB upon hire required or
  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists eligible upon hire required and
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

What You Will Do

Imaging Procedures, Quality and Processing
1. Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to exam
2. Positions patient to correct anatomical area of interest
3. Performs complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations
4. Adjusts technique parameters appropriately for age related factors
5. Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique
6. Maintains attention to details
7. Processes and manipulates images, analyzes image quality, troubleshoots, makes technique adjustments, or repeat procedures as needed 8. Utilizes proper downtime procedures for PACS and HIS / RIS
9. Correctly sends and transfers images to PACS
10. Prints laser images from modality or PACS
11. Coordinates with Centralized Scheduling and other modalities
