JOB SUMMARY

Supports the day-to-day operations of the sales staff in representing BSE in promoting sales, securing orders, and providing quality service to our customers. Provides technical support on products, designs lighting layouts, performs lighting presentations, consults with customers on lighting and energy related applications, participates in the marketing, planning, strategizing and sale of BSE lighting and energy products and services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions

· Provides technical support on products such as lighting and lighting controls

· Designs lighting layouts, performs lighting presentations, and provides sales training and/or support.

· Provides architectural, engineering and design specification calls in various local markets, to drive sales and specifications for BSE product lines.

· Works closely with Border States’ sales and marketing staff to promote sales, and to meet and exceed market share and gross profit objectives.

· Regularly calls on assigned accounts and makes presentations and joint sales calls with sales representatives to secure orders and perform other sales functions.

· Consults with customers on lighting and energy related applications.

· Provides customers with timely response to requests for field and application support, quotations, training, financing, and other technical services.

· Actively participates in the marketing, planning, strategizing and sale of Border States’ lighting and energy products and services.

· Consistently provides responsive, quality service to meet and exceed customer expectations.

· Provides input to other sales and marketing staff on customer needs and concerns regarding pricing, products, competition, and market potential.

· Leads customer and BSE employee training on new technical products and applications.

· Analyzes and provides input on marketing information, systems, software, methods, processes, profitability and performance of products and product lines within the sales and marketing departments for improvement.

· Provides ROI and payback calculations to customers on lighting projects as needed.

· Provides energy services functions for retrofit opportunities with walk through audits and written energy reports as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
