Additional $2.00 per hr. for working during 2pm to 6pm and $4.00 per hr. for 6pm to 6am.
The Fannin County Jail— Bonham, TX under the management of LaSalle Corrections is seeking to hire a Licensed Vocational Nurse to perform duties concerning the sick and injured, prevention of illness and promotion of good health in compliance with LaSalle Corrections, facility, and correctional healthcare directives. Selected Candidate will provide nursing services to inmates to the extent allowed by the Nurse Practice Act, and in accordance with ADC directives and healthcare standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Render first aid treatment and assist RN in treating serious accidents or illnesses.
· Treat minor injuries and illnesses according to physician instruction and maintain health records.
· Cleanse and dress wounds, operate emergency equipment and provide follow-up nursing care as required.
· Medication Administration.
· Medication prior authorizations.
· Prepare and distribute specified medications and drugs and assist in developing programs.
· Triage, assess chief complaints, take vital signs and do appropriate charting.
· Maintain clinic facilities in accordance with the highest standards of health care.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· High School Diploma Or Equivalent
· Graduation from a nursing program approved by the State Board of Nurse Examiners
· Certification as a Vocational Nurse valid in the state
· Must be able to pass background and drug test
