Licensed Psychologist/Clinical Supervisor

The Licensed Psychologist supervises doctoral psychology interns and practicum trainees, participates in the psychology training program and is responsible for developing, carrying out, and modeling an empirically supported psychotherapeutic program for emotionally disturbed clients; including administration and interpretation of a variety of psycho-diagnostic tests; and preparation of psychological reports.

Responsibilities:

· Develops and updates empirically supported patient treatment plans for own and supervisees’ clients based on mental health literature, or APA and California Evidence Based Clearinghouse guidelines.

· Provides evidenced-based treatment to children and their families.

· Administers, interprets, and supervises appropriately chosen psychometric instruments and screenings (including psycho-educational, objective and projective measures), writes reports, provides recommendations and feedback to client, family, and other clinicians.

· Consults with clinic therapists, schools, other involved agencies and support systems as clinically indicated.

· Documents patient treatment and progress for proper maintenance of client’s record and ensures such documentation for supervisees.

· Abides by the ethical standards of the American Psychological Association and assists in ensuring WYS training program meets these standards.

· In training and supervision, abides by the Guidelines and Principles of the APA Committee on Accreditation.

· Provides individual and group clinical supervision to interns, per Agency and APA requirements.

· Provides oral and written feedback consistent with Internship program requirements.

· Trains intern class in areas of clinical expertise.

· Participates in Psychology Training Committee meetings.

· Complies with Agency policies and procedures, operational and clinical guidelines, HIPAA standards, documentation manual, and Medi-Cal standards.

· Reports to the clinic Program Director.

· Collaborates with Director of Training to ensure training, supervision, and management of interns is consistent with the Internship Training Manual and APA requirements.

· These duties would be adjusted based on the number of hours worked per week.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Doctoral degree in clinical, school or counseling psychology from an APA accredited graduate program, completion of formal doctoral internship and current California Licensure in Psychology required.

· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret pertinent mental health reports and all applicable regulations.

· Ability to write clear and concise reports, business correspondence, and procedures.

· Ability to effectively present information orally in one-on-one, small group, and large groups situations.

· Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
