Grant County, an Equal Opportunity Employer, located in Elbow Lake is currently accepting applications for the position of a full-time License Bureau Clerk/Office Manager. Required qualifications include a high school diploma and a minimum of 1 year of customer service, face to face and over the phone experience. The position, under the direction of the License Bureau Director, is responsible for performing a variety of skills, responsible work functions as an agent for the State Department of public Safety and DNR Department, processing titles, registrations, driver’s licenses, all DNR Recreational vehicles, along with other operations of the office. Experience working in a Department of motor vehicle office, knowledge of MN Statutes pertaining to vehicle titles, registrations, and driver’s licensing. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, type with accuracy, and complete a variety of forms. Ability to work independently and function alone in all aspects of the office when the Director is gone, work with cash and ability to balance funds with reports. Computer knowledge, mathematical aptitude and ability to multitask are essential.
The License Clerk is a full-time, union position. Beginning pay is $20.99 per hour. Health insurance and pension benefits are also provided. A pre-employment criminal history background, driver’s license check and a pre-employment credit history check will be conducted.
