The Legal Coordinator/Administrator is responsible for managing the administrative operations of the legal department.

  • Manage day to day operations of the office. Provides general office administrative support to legal team.
  • Maintains a professional and positive work environment by facilitating effective communication and information sharing among department members.
  • Process invoices, draft: reports, memos, letters, and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software.
  • Answer and manage phone calls.
  • Prepare schedules and organize departmental calendar.
  • File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports.
  • Review and reroute email to appropriate Corporate Counsel, quickly and efficiently.
  • Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, including US mail, faxes, and email.
  • Helps prepare all department presentations, dashboards, board decks, and other presentations.
  • Manages Worker’s Compensation Process from initial incident report to closure of claim.
  • Reviews incident reports in system for accuracy; conducts follow-up with initiator or claimant as needed.
  • Submits claims to carrier; may consult with Corporate Counsel to determine submission of claim as needed.
  • Monitors claims including amount of loss time, light duty assignments and return to work dates.
  • Works with claimant’s supervisor on light duty assignments and to confirm actual return to work dates.
  • Communicates regularly with Claims Adjuster on claim details, light duty assignments and confirmation claimant returned to work.
  • Partners with compliance to review claims to determine if they are OSHA recordable events. Provides additional information for completion of OSHA reporting as needed.

Reports to the Senior Director, Legal.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Completion of a degree program preferred.
  • 1 year of administrative office experience preferred.
  • Computer literate, strong skills in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel & outlook.
  • Ability to maintain confidential records.
  • Detail oriented and professional.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player attitude.
  • Good negotiating skills.
  • Advanced understanding of office management.
  • This position is located in Morgantown, WV – qualified candidates must be willing to relocate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
