GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION:
The LEEP Services Secretary will perform secretarial and clerical support for the program. The Secretary maintains student data and manages education records in compliance with state and federal regulations. The Secretary assists in arranging and scheduling substitute and temporary employees for the classrooms.

LIFE ENRICHMENTEDUCATION PROGRAM:
The Life Enrichment Education Program (LEEP) provides specially designed instruction and related services for eligible Clackamas County students, ages 5-21 years. Students attend self-contained classrooms in schools located throughout the county. The curriculum focuses on personal management, communication, practical living skills, vocational skills, leisure and recreation activities, and social skills. Based on the individual needs of each student, the ESD offers speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, adaptive PE, and nursing support. LEEP also provides an extended school year program in the summer for students who would regress because of a lengthy educational recess.

CLACKAMAS EDUCATION SERVICE DISTRICT:
Clackamas Education Service District is one of Oregon's 19 ESDs charged with providing programs for children with special needs, technology support, school improvement, and administrative services to local school districts and the Oregon Department of Education. Clackamas ESD serves ten school districts in Clackamas County, including Canby, Colton, Estacada, Gladstone, Lake Oswego, Molalla River, North Clackamas, Oregon City, Oregon Trail, and West Linn-Wilsonville. These districts range in size from about 650 to 17,500 students. There are approximately 57,500 students in the ten school districts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Develops and maintains student and district files and records
• Responds to general inquiries from school district personnel and parents via phone and email
• Assists in maintaining an internal communication system insuring administrative, instructional, and support personnel are kept current with reliable information
• Produces documents and correspondence
• Fills staff requests and distributes items for classroom supplies including health, safety, and items for students personal management needs

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Recent successful experience with general office practices and procedures requiring progressively greater skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications
• Ability to apply program criteria and manage logistics to successfully complete assigned tasks
• Ability to work independently and use initiate and judgment in accomplishing tasks with general instruction and guidance
• Ability to organize time and other resources to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
