About the Role:
The Manager, Organizational Learning and Development (OL&D) will focus on strategizing and developing the talent experience at MYR Group by facilitating the training and growth of employees and supporting company initiatives. This will include developing training offerings, working with training specialists and business leaders across the enterprise organization to meet talent development needs. Collaboration is a key component of this role. The Manager, OL&D will communicate with business leaders seamlessly across our business units while balancing competing priorities.

This position will be located at our Thornton, Colorado office, and we offer a
hybrid schedule with 2 days of work from home and 3 days in the office per week.

Essential Functions
  • Develop strong relationships with business leadership to align learning and development strategy to business and employee development goals
  • Partner with the business leaders across the organization to recommend and develop curriculum and course content
  • Recommend and leverage internal training platforms to enhance the learning and development of employees across the organization
  • Perform needs analysis, scope projects, and evaluate existing platforms to identify the most appropriate solution for training development and implementation challenges
  • Oversee instructional design, adult learning, training course and curriculum design manage the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Lead and mentor a learning and development team that is a well-oiled, results-driven engine
  • Foster an environment of servant leadership, people development, and decision-making that impacts bottom-line results
  • Essential functions of this position are to be performed at a Company-designated office or field location
  • Understand and company with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards

About You:
Qualifications
  • Minimum 7 years of progressively-responsible experience in one or more of the following fields: corporate training/education, instruction/training delivery, organizational design, instructional design
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading a training development or training delivery function or team
  • Experience facilitating Franklin Covey training content is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, adult instruction, organizational management or related field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Strong facilitation skills with the ability to effectively convey information and influence others
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to communicate in business terms
  • Customer service orientation and commitment to quality, responsibility, high work standards and initiative
  • Ability to lead in fast-paced, ambiguous, and changing environments
  • Deep understanding of adult learning, instructional design, and curriculum development
  • Passion for motivating teams through inspiration recognition and can tie efforts to business outcomes
  • Experience driving effective change management
  • Strong ability to define, implement, execute, and optimize consistent learning and training processes
  • Ability to leverage data and anecdotes to improve training content or learner experience
  • Ability to motivate, mentor and coach team through strategic conversations designed to develop and engage your direct reports
What We Offer:
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary $86000-$110000 / year
    • Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
  • Two days per week remote work option for non-field roles depending on position and performance.
