Job description
Essex Westford School District is seeking a part-time Lead School Nurse to join a dynamic team of nurses supporting our student population, beginning in the 23/24 school year. The lead school nurse supports the district by interpreting Department of Health / Agency of Education guidelines and facilitating discussions with other nurses and school employees to ensure they are followed consistently throughout the district.The successful candidate will possess the following:
  • Bachelors degree
  • Hold a valid license as a Professional Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Vermont.
  • 3 years of relevant nursing experience.
  • Hold (or be eligible to hold) a valid Vermont Educators License with a 3-65 school nurse endorsement.
  • Experience with supporting students across broad aspects of the school's system of support.
  • Ability to communicate courteously, efficiently, and effectively with a variety of individuals.
  • Effectively works with others, including those with opinions or beliefs different from their own.
