As a Lead Data Engineer, Cloud Migration at JPMorgan Chase, within Customer and Community Banking, on the Wealth Management team you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm's state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.

Job responsibilities

• Generates data models for their team using firmwide tooling, linear algebra, statistics, and geometrical algorithms
• Delivers data collection, storage, access, and analytics data platform solutions in a secure, stable, and scalable way
• Implements database back-up, recovery, and archiving strategy
• Evaluates and reports on access control processes to determine effectiveness of data asset security with minimal supervision
• Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• Experience and proficiency across the data lifecycle
• Experience with database back-up, recovery, and archiving strategy
• Proficient knowledge of linear algebra, statistics, and geometrical algorithms

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
• Familiar with various automated testing and tools
• Excellent communication skills and able to work collaboratively across diverse teams
• Possesses a genuine interest in Data Science, AI/ML and or Hybrid Cloud Technology
