Leaders Professional is searching for a LEAD CHEMIST for our client located in Fort Wayne, IN. This is a manager level position, and the ideal candidate will be able to grow the Chemistry department in conjunction with overall company growth.
This position is a full-time, direct hire role with our client.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Chemist will be responsible for managing the chemistry lab, product formulation, research and development, quality control, technical services, regulatory compliance, and other related responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA or higher in Chemistry, Microbiology experience a plus;
- Professional experience in Food Science related discipline, ideally in a food processing plant.
- Excellent lab skills and lab management skills required.
- Ability to successfully manage and implement multiple projects at the same time. Enjoys variety.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment and build relationships at multiple organizational levels.
- Strong computer skills including MS Office applications required as well as InDesign.

Pay: $48,037.14 - $106,716.51 per year
