The Credit Strategy, Planning and Governance (SPG) group within Credit Risk is responsible for supporting Wells Fargo's Chief Credit Officer in managing the Credit Risk function. Within Credit SPG, the Governance team is seeking a Lead Business Execution Consultant to lead committee governance and other risk program activities for Credit Risk.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead Board and Management Committee activities
  • Build strong relationships and working across groups and with senior leadership to proactively plan, coordinate, and deliver on all activities timely and within prescribed deadlines
  • Act as an advisor to experienced leadership to develop, influence, and interpret analysis and deliver insight and decision strategies
  • Deliver comprehensive and effective committee presentation materials, talking points, reporting, and analysis; serve a liaison to Corporate Risk committee governance teams; execute committee activities where needed, including resolving follow ups, recording escalations, taking minutes, preparing agendas, maintaining committee templates, and leading/participating in meetings
  • Aggregate and analyze data, and prepare presentations and reporting in support of Enterprise Risk Programs and governance deliverables; implement and execute controls to ensure strong data integrity and accuracy/completeness
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring strategic, advanced analytical, inductive thinking, and performance monitoring; lead and/or support complex initiatives related to committee processes and requirements, business analysis, data integrity, governance, and reporting, including those that are cross functional, with broad impact; support other activities and ad hoc projects as needed
  • Make decisions and provide guidance on governance matters in your scope of responsibility, including inputs to reporting and execution of processes, leveraging solid understanding of business unit projects and regulatory responses, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements, that influence and lead analysis and reporting to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Drive, collaborate, and consult with peers and partners at all levels to resolve production, project, and governance issues, and achieve risk analytics and reporting goals
  • Continuously improve processes and reporting
  • Lead projects, teams, and mentor
Required Qualifications, US:
  • 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience working in the risk and regulatory environment within the financial services industry
  • Experience supporting Board or Management Committees and senior leadership/executives, preferably in a governance role
  • Deep understanding of ever-evolving governance processes and regulatory environments
  • Proven experience in building partnerships, collaborating, and influencing at senior levels and across businesses and functions to execute desired results
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to set goals, manage processes and people, lead and deliver multiple efforts simultaneously, meet or exceed deadlines, and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem solving techniques
  • Ability to translate and present complex data in a manner that educates, enhances understanding, and influence decisions
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to take complex subject matter and present it in an easily digestible manner geared toward the audience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • High level of comfort with rapid change and ambiguity
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting reports and preparing presentations, management reporting, and statistical analysis
  • Decision and execution-oriented self-starter able to recognize opportunities for improvement and act on them and solve problems to drive business results
  • Ability to optimize/automate and create repeatable/scalable operating and reporting processes with data integrity
Job Expectations:
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
  • Willingness to comply with our hybrid work model; working from a Wells Fargo facility at least three days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely two days a week
