Summary

The Lead 3D Printing Technician uses advanced mechanical and computing skills to operate multiple commercial production 3D printers, and to test and evaluate desktop printers for potential deployment to ClearChoice centers. The Lead Technician will be responsible for developing workflows specific to the needs of Printing Lab and the ClearChoice network before assisting in disseminating relevant information, and testing machines or materials for potential application. Successful candidates will be able to ensure timely production of devices while working with team members to constantly improve tracking processes. While work methods follow established best practices, candidates are expected to follow the direction of their supervisor, manager, and team using a high degree of judgment on a case-by-case basis.

Duties And Responsibilities:

• Operate 3D Printers and post-processing machinery
• Quality control all products
• Maintain consistent inventory of necessary supplies
• Streamline printing strategy by improving nesting processes
• Train Lab Technicians to use 3D printers/accompanying software
• Develop printing workflows relevant to the company’s specific needs
• Generate feedback reports based on testing equipment, materials, and software
• Provide venders with company specific requirements for printers, software, and materials
• Coordinate with Digital Designers to fabricate and troubleshoot STL designs
• Create Standard Operating Procedures based on specific dental applications
• Assist in the ongoing designing and programming of products
• Perform post-processing finishing of 3D printed devices
• Provide support in scheduling the maintaining and cleaning the equipment at regular intervals
• Communicate with product support to troubleshoot failed prints

Dental Laboratory Lead 3D Printing Technician

• 
  Highlight potential issues and generate solutions to ensure timely resolution
• Track resin inventory and lot number usage
• Train Technicians in post processing and case finishing techniques specific to the application
• Assist the Digital Administrator with packaging printing devices
• Maintain a clean, organized working environment daily
• Ensure lab space is optimized for efficient storage and space usage
• Understand and reinforce Infection Control, PPE, HIPAA, and OSHA Safety Compliance Standards
• Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
• Support a positive culture with fellow technicians through respectful and appropriate working relationships
• Maintain the highest degree of professionalism
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Required Experience/Qualifications:

• Knowledge of 3D printer operation and maintenance preferred
• Proficiency with typical 3D CAD packages is a plus
• Strong attention to detail
• Effective communication skills
• Strong organizational abilities
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Ability to stand for long periods (8-hour shifts)
• Able to lift 50 pounds

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week, working Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime. The 3D Printing Lab operates within the ClearChoice National Dental Lab in Centennial, CO.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hour base compensation $25 - $29 DOE

We offer an excellent hourly wage plus incentive compensation, along with health, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD insurance, and participation in a 401k plan. In addition to your base compensation, you may be eligible for an annual bonus (potential bonuses are merit based).
