Lawn Care Manager Expectations:

• You’ll be the primary manager for all field staff
• You’ll need to keep everyone informed of where they’re going to be and when
• You’ll be conducting staff meetings to help the teams troubleshoot issues, plan for potential issues, hold folks accountable, celebrate great performance, etc.
• You’ll be responsible for researching potential team members, hiring folks, and firing folks
• You’ll keep up to date with continuing education and pass that information along to the team in a structured fashion
• You’ll be responsible for spot checking properties for quality and address any issues that arise
• If you do find issues, you’ll retrain folks to prevent future issues
• You’ll be determining what chemicals and/or fertilizers are needed and make sure they’re ordered and on hand
• You’ll keep the teams productive by maintaining and repairing equipment, keeping inventory up to date, keeping licenses and insurance current, and maintaining and repairing the shop sheds
• Expect to be outside! You may need to step in and work on a production team from time to time

Lawn Care Manager Skills & Experience

• Experience as a Crew Lead or managing folks
• Experience training employees
• Experience using route management software
• Direct customer interaction experience
• Experience with lawn chemical and fertilizer application schedules preferred
• Experience with snow removal
• Experience in hiring/firing team members
• Pesticide license preferred; if you don’t have it, we’ll expect you to get it once you’re on the job
• Valid driver’s license; that allows us to add you to our insurance
