Job Summary


Come work for the Gambling Control Board where you can help ensure the integrity of charitable gambling for the State of Minnesota. As a member of our agency, you will contribute to the success of the industry by providing regulatory oversight, allowing this type of fundraising to be successful. This position will have the opportunity to telework most days once out of training. Office days will be at our Roseville location.

These positions perform professional level regulatory analysis, resolution, and technical assistance for charitable gambling licensees. The duties include performing preliminary reviews of organization gambling records to determine compliance with statute and rule. These positions will analyze and evaluate organizational record keeping and internal control systems, financial records, and lawful gambling activity. They will meet with gambling managers and stakeholders involved in lawful gambling activities; conduct inspection of lawful gambling sites; prepare compliance reports inclusive of findings, facts, and corrective action recommendations. They will also provide accurate technical assistance so that clients are informed regarding statutes, rules, and policy.

Upon completion of training, there will be options for partial telework at the supervisor's discretion. This will be subject to change based on operational needs.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • One year experience comparing and analyzing data against standards.
  • Experience preparing compliance reports and recommendations
  • Experience preparing and presenting training to a variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain vehicle, insurance, class D driver’s license and/or reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of lawful gambling rules and regulations in the State of Minnesota
  • Experience in public sector regulatory compliance
  • Experience applying, interpreting, and explaining regulations, statutes, rules, policy, and procedures
  • Experience in development of training programs

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this position, the employee must have:

  • Ability to move throughout the building while performing physical inspections of gambling premises or storage facilities
  • Ability to move gambling equipment up to 60 lbs. and transport back to the office
