JOB OVERVIEW
We are currently hiring for a laundry assistant and are looking for someone who has a desire to empower our resident’s lives and to be part of a five star and award winning, “Great Employers” recipient, senior community. As a laundry assistant, you will perform day-to-day laundry functions as assigned for our skilled nursing residents. We offer a fun and rewarding work environment where you can make a difference in someone’s life by joining our laundry team and love where you work!
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Laundry assistants will collect and sort soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc., and place in appropriate containers or assigned areas.
- Sort soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc., and separate those items that require special stain removal/treatment.
- Sort and wash soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc., in accordance with established procedures.
- Fold, stack, hang, and distribute clean laundry, linen, garments, etc., to residents daily and/or as instructed.
- Willing to participate in normal Housekeeping activities when requested.
- No experience required to join our team as a laundry assistant.
- Will need the ability to move intermittently throughout the day.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all staff and residents.
- Will need the ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
