Laboratory Technician Trainee
Perform laboratory analysis of refinery intermediate and product streams, by products and gases utilizing standardized lab methods (ASTM).

Perform testing according to established procedures, recognize a typical and off-specification test result and communicate findings to lab management and operation personnel, keep lab equipment and work areas clean to ensure safe and efficient laboratory operation, make proper shift relief and communicate any problems or unusual circumstances experienced or anticipated. Perform training as required and stay proficient in all areas of responsibilities.
Qualifications
Education and Skills: Minimum A.S. in Chemistry, preferred or 2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
Computer Skills, Mathematical skills, LIMS experience, Customer Service Skills and Communication Skills
Valid Drivers License and the ability to obtain a TWIC .
Operate, Troubleshoot, Clean and Perform Preventative Maintenance on Refinery Laboratory Equipment used for Distillation, Gas Chromatograph, Environmental and other unit sample testing and finished product testing.
