Axios Professional Recruitment is currently seeking a Junior Civil Engineer located in Muskegon, MI. The Junior Civil Engineer will have preferred experience with Survey and environmental professionals in a collaborative environment, site development from conceptual through construction phase and have experience working with public and private clients.

Junior Civil Engineer Compensation:

• $60K to 70K Salary
• 401(k) with company match

Junior Civil Engineer Responsibilities:

• Engineering design. Site selection and feasibility studies based on engineering standards, conceptual layout and site design, site grading/earthwork balancing, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for stormwater management, determining flood water elevations; roads, streets, sidewalks, driveways, parking; site utility infrastructure including storm drains, culverts, pipelines, drainage improvements, sanitary sewers, water mains, utility duct banks, and utility service coordination.
• Attend client meetings
• Development of estimates of probable construction costs
• Preparation of Municipal & State permit applications.
• Development of stormwater management plans and calculations
• Preparation of design computations and quantity estimates.
• Development of construction bid packages.
• Management of civil engineering projects and the supporting construction activities.
• Overseeing quality control of engineering and construction, ensuring compliance with design standards
• Construction management to monitor progress and perform other duties per the contract documents

Junior Civil Engineer Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field preferred but not required. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for a degree.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of site survey and environmental experience, preferably in an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Knowledge of surveying and surveying principles
• Construction/field experience
