About the role:

The Junior Accountant is responsible for assisting the finance department in creating accurate and timely financial records for the organization. The ideal candidate is a driven individual with the desire to learn and grow and has basic knowledge of accounting procedures and principles. If you are highly motivated, a quick problem solver, and thrive in fast-paced environments, this is the role for you!

• Prepare accounting records, including inputting journal entries to account for business activities, to ensure accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards defined within the department
• Reconcile bank and general ledger accounts, ensure the accounts balance to underlying support and investigate and record any reconciling items
• Document and ensure proper keeping of financial records, making use of current technologies
• Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel
• Assist in the completion of month-end close

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent number of years of experience
• 1 or more years of experience in accounting field preferred
• Proficient Excel skills
• Detail oriented and accurate
• Excellent communication skills
