Journeyman Lineman - Transmission - High Voltage Utility Power Lines

Job Summary:

Sentry Electrical Group, Inc. has (4) immediate openings for Journeyman Lineman for our Transmission projects. Work is predominantly outdoors and in all weather conditions.

Location:

Initial project will be located in Miles City, Montana.

Requirements:

• Must have successfully completed US-DOL Lineman Apprenticeship program and have professional experience working on high voltage Transmission Lines
• High School Diploma or equivalent; *
• Four or more years of appropriate experience in construction of overhead lines to include operation of equipment to set structures, climbing wood and steel structures, placement and connection of electrical equipment, installation of guy wires, installation of conductors and support hardware, and testing of installed items; *
• Must have a minimum of two years of Journeyman Lineman experience specifically in Transmission construction;
• Must meet driver qualification requirements; Class A or B CDL Preferred
• Current CPR/1st Aid Card; *
• Requires ability to climb poles and structures; *
• Demonstrated commitment to work productively & safely; *
• Applicant testing, drug screen and DOT physical required; *
• Must continue to possess a Valid Driver's License and pass random driver's license screenings;
• Applicants must be able to drive safely, work extended hours and wear company provided Personal Protective Equipment.

Environmental/Physical Demands:

This position requires frequent standing, walking, lifting/carrying (pulling, or carrying objects weighing up to 120 pounds floor to bench, 70 pounds floor to overhead, and holding 75 pounds at shoulder height such as tools, cross arm with pins, insulators and braces above head) pushing, reaching, handling, use of fine dexterity, kneeling, crouching, bending, twisting, and climbing. Occasional balancing and rarely requires sitting; continuous balancing required climbing poles, towers, ladders and in other aspects of the job. May be required to work in all weather conditions.

Compensation Range:

• $28.00 - $48.65/hr for those applicants who meet the above criteria (Depending on applicant's current status/level in the Apprenticeship Program).
• $60/day travel
• $19.06/hour in benefits in accordance to Montana Prevailing Wage
