  Fiber Optic Make Ready consists of pole replacements and power re-arrangements.

  Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Construction and Installation - demonstrate climbing techniques and procedures, care and inspection of transmission structure hardware, tools, gear and various equipment, construction and installation of poles and various components.
  • Skills including digging, guying of pole structures, maintenance procedures, conductor handling/ rigging and splicing, tower erection and more.

  Basic Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of EMC/Co-op/ RUS specifications. Replacing poles that don’t meet the fiber company’s requirements and moving existing equipment on poles that will not be replaced.

  • Safety is our main concern. Need to be computer friendly for daily paperwork.

Basic Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving record. Preferred applicants are those with a CDL- Class A driving license (and additional endorsements).

Travel to various job site locations is required and may warrant overnight stays for long or short periods of time.

Per-Diem offer for travel outside area under IRS guidelines

Individuals who also possess the following aptitude skills are recommended to apply:

Candidates must be able to pass pre-employment drug tests, criminal background screenings and a motor vehicle record check. Also be able to pass an Oral and Written exam and proficiency demonstration for the job applied for.
