I am looking for a part-time employee to help us at JenniferMaker as a Community Engagement Specialist (aka Social Bee)!

This position focuses on identifying trends, monitoring reach and engagement, and ensuring that each communication with our community is informative, supportive, and positive. The ideal candidate will be experienced with customer service and support skills, as well as familiar with the JenniferMaker brand.

The person who is right for this position loves to help people, has exceptional communication skills, and is able to monitor and respond to messages across a variety of channels in a timely manner while maintaining brand voice to our community.

While perhaps not quite yet an expert, this person does have a solid grasp of social media engagement and moderating social media channels, as well as a basic understanding of Cricut, sublimation, and crafting.

This position involves a combination of creativity, attention to detail, follow-through, and it has high expectations for meeting deadlines. Project management skills and experience are a plus.

Position Details

Hours and Availability: This is a part-time employee position, 26.5 hours per week; flexibility and ability to pivot is a must.

This position currently has a set schedule of:

  • Wednesday 11:00am-7:00pm ET
  • Thursday 11:00am-4:30pm ET
  • Friday 11:00am-7:00pm ET
  • Saturday 9:00am-2:00pm ET
  • Sunday 3:00pm-8:00pm ET

Special Note: As a JenniferMaker employee, you will not be able to engage in any outside activity that could be construed as a conflict of interest, such as running or working on your own craft blog or crafting/blogging business, or someone else's craft blog or blogging business.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok comments (including paid ads) as JenniferMaker.
  • Post stories and generate engagement on various social media platforms.
  • Monitor communications on JenniferMaker facebook pages, ensuring that all communications are in alignment with JenniferMaker standards.
  • Remove facebook posts that violate standards, communicate with original posters with reasoning of removal, and remove repeat offenders from appropriate pages.
  • Monitor and identify trends, gather data to calculate engagement rate, provide feedback on engagement/conversation via social media channels to manager.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry and digital trends.
  • Focuses on primary job duties and ensures they are complete before taking on additional projects.
  • Does not engage in any outside activity that could be construed as a conflict of interest (running or working on your own or someone else’s blog or crafting business).
  • Understands that copyrights and ownership for designs created for the JenniferMaker brand will belong to the brand.
  • Understands and uses the JenniferMaker products and projects so you can answer questions and support our crafters.
  • Effectively communicates with the team and meets with us weekly on Zoom video chats.
  • Has the best interest of the JenniferMaker brand in mind.
  • Helps us look good to our readers and customers.
  • Works with minimal supervision.
  • Additional duties as required by management.

Things You've Done in the Past

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a customer service/support position.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience moderating a group in social media and/or social media engagement experience (including identifying reach and trends).
  • Experience with Gmail, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Forms, Facebook (pages, groups, and ads).
  • Experience with a Cricut cutting machine and Cricut Design Space.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Cricut and sublimation crafting.
  • Experience working with a virtual team.
