Bob Johnson Automotive Group in the Rochester, NY area needs to hire an IT Support Technician to maintain and improve our organization's phone and internet systems, ensure all employees have the operational technology needed to complete their work and ensure important files and information remain safe and intact.

We are looking for a courteous, outgoing individual that has excellent communication skills and the ability to translate tech-speak in a way that helps other employees troubleshoot on their end. Some light travel (up to 30 miles) may be needed if a tech issue at one of our other dealerships needs your in-person attention.

Responsibilities – IT Support Technician:

• Ensure daily IT systems are working properly
• Configure, install, upgrade and support computer components and software
• Administer network and data security, firewalls, antivirus, email security, etc.
• Create, analyze, report, convert, or transfer data, using specialized applications program software
• Onboard new employees
• Diagnose and solve dealership's technology problems by phone, in-person, or by accessing technology remotely
• Network troubleshooting, PC maintenance, and repair
• CRM, VPN, VOIP support
• Correspond with management about tasks needed and completed
• Light travel up to 30 miles as needed

Qualifications/Requirements – IT Support Technician:

• IT Support experience is required
• Must be outgoing, well-spoken, and a self-motivated problem-solver
• Must be comfortable speaking on the phone
• Tend to tech matters in a timely fashion
• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• A good work ethic and motivation to succeed
• Excellent customer service skills
