Job purpose

NATIONAL OnDemand, Inc. is actively seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to become a part of our fast-growing organization. The IT Support Specialist will be a key player on our IT team based in our corporate headquarters in Burlington, NC, reporting directly to the IT Systems & Applications Manager. The IT Support Specialist ensures that IT needs of NATIONAL OnDemand are consistently met through supporting all computer hardware needs, trouble-shooting issues, ordering new computer equipment, supporting overall systems and network security and other responsibilities.

Duties and responsibilities

The IT Support Specialist’s specific duties include:

• Trouble-shoot computer hardware and software issues for employees
• Support internet access and operation at the Corporate HQ and field locations
• Order new computers and other hardware
• Install new software and hardware components
• Handle computer warranty-related matters
• Support IT network and systems security Educate coworkers about network security and best practices for computer usage
• Work directly with the IT Systems & Applications Manager and others to make enhancements in our IT environment to support future growth
• Other responsibilities as directed by the IT Systems & Applications Manager

Qualifications

Qualifications and relevant experience should include:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or related program

• At least 3 years of experience with IT trouble-shooting, break-fix support
• High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, MS Word)
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver consistent results
• Excellent customer service skills in interacting with coworkers
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• IT professional certifications are a plus
