IT SPECIALIST (PART-TIME)

Hourly:$15.00

General Duties:

• Performs technical work in support of assigned IT programs or communications functions.
• Provide technical support and assistance to Cameron County District Attorney's Office personnel.
• Maintain desktop and laptop computer systems, printers, provide remote assistance via remote control software, email or telephone.
• Perform routine technology maintenance and initiate corrective actions when issues are identified.

Knowledge required:

• Operations of standard office equipment (including fax machines, copiers, and computers.)
• S. Active Directory Network and Network+ concepts.
• Windows 10, Windows 2016, Windows 2019.
• MS Batch, Powershell, HTML, CSS, PHP, Mysql - Preferred.
• MS Office Suite, Adobe Pro 9 & 2017.
• Maintenance and technical repairs of computers, printers, servers, etc.

Ability to:

• Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing (i.e. correct English usage, spelling, punctuation, and grammar)
• Install and configure software on computers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software related issues.
• Maintain inventory of District Attorney Office technology.
• Maintain sensitive and confidential information.
• Accomplish the assigned workload in a timely manner.
• Be an independent thinker with a positive team-player attitude.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other County employees, representatives of other agencies and organizations, and members of the community.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED; supplemented by two (2) years of experience performing technical support and/or telecommunications work; OR any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
• Associate's Degree in Computer Technology, Computer Information Systems or Computer Science preferred.
• Must have a valid Texas Driver's License, and good driving record. May be required to drive County vehicle.
• Must have and maintain a clean TCIC/NCIC records check.
