Cyber Security Architecture Manager Washington, DC Direct Hire No C2C No Layers Department: Cybersecurity Summary: The Cyber Security Architecture Manager is responsible for planning and designing the roadmap to enable efficient execution of digital security, physical security, and risk missions. This role involves working with operations teams and process owners to ensure coherent interoperability of security tools and technologies, as well as engineering a secure computing environment while minimizing productivity impact. The position is technical and non-operations focused. Qualifications: Preferred Bachelor's degree; advanced degree and CISSP certification preferred. 7+ years of cybersecurity experience with a focus on designing or implementing security solutions and cyber transformation projects. Experience in SIEM rationalization initiatives, endpoint agent collapse programs, and related documentation and artifacts. Duties and Responsibilities: Develop a roadmap for critical security technologies supporting Cybersecurity Operations, Physical Security & Safety, and Risk Operations teams. Build secure computing enclaves to safeguard highly sensitive data. Implement appropriate defensive technologies to protect desktops, servers, and infrastructure from attacks. Establish visibility into the security state of various systems and applications. Analyze security logs and telemetry to detect security events. Efficiently respond to security, privacy, and workplace incidents. Minimize operational disruption and recover from attacks. Collaborate with relevant teams to recommend vendors for critical technology solutions. Document the design and inter-operations of security technologies, ensuring cost-effectiveness and interoperability. Act as a subject matter expert during technology implementation by internal teams or external vendors. Demonstrate expertise in IAM, SIEM, NDR, E/XDR tools, Windows security, Azure security, event logging, and related topics. Possess strong interpersonal skills for influencing and persuading stakeholders. Comply with U.S. export control laws regarding access to equipment, software, or technology. Provide input to the Accountability Plan for accreditation and authorization reviews. Maintain technical standards for event logging, analysis, and alerting.
