Position Summary

The IT Operations Manager is responsible for day-to-day oversight of the IT infrastructure, systems administration, and support functions for our seven wineries—including management of the IT Service Desk and associated IT Service Management processes. The candidate will work with IT and business stakeholders to evaluate, design, implement, and maintain systems that support all Crimson business teams—from farming to finance. The right individual will possess experience in all facets of IT Operations and have proven expertise in the various technologies needed to support the business, including a range of Microsoft solutions. The ability to work well with people at all levels within the company and to build collaborative relationships is essential. Because Crimson is a public company and in a regulated industry, a strong understanding of compliance and security controls is key.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day management of the company’s IT infrastructure, including networks, end user devices, applications, and services. Ensures service availability and capacity.
  • Oversees the IT Service Desk, offering devices, applications, processes, and experiences that support our business teams and deliver excellent customer service. Supervises and mentors one Service Desk Analyst.
  • Owns systems administration tasks related to business-facing solutions, including ERP, CRM and other SOX applications.
  • Collaborating with IT and business stakeholders, participates in the design, selection, and implementation of new and upgraded systems.
  • Independently manages small- to medium-sized projects related to infrastructure, systems, and support.
  • Working with the Security Analyst, helps define and enforce configuration standards for systems and devices to improve security, resiliency, and performance of the technology stack.
  • Cooperates with HR to ensure smooth and timely employee onboarding/offboarding processes.
  • Works with the IT Director to document and socialize policies, processes, and procedures required for internal/external audits and end user support.

Qualifications

  • Education: bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Years of Experience: 10 or more years of successful experience in a diverse range of IT functions, including roles in IT Service Delivery or Service Desk
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role
  • Experience working in a regulated (e.g., SOX) environment.
  • Positive attitude, with a passion for technology and delivering great customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with all levels of staff.
  • Well organized and able to perform under minimal supervision with a high attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and process engineering skills
  • Familiarity with project management best practices; ability to manage small- to medium-sized projects.
  • Ability and willingness to generate documentation and training materials.
  • Solid experience managing Microsoft 365 and Azure AD, including administration of Exchange Online, Teams, Power Automate, PowerApps
  • Skilled in device configuration, deployment, and management (Windows, Mac, mobile)
  • Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central system administration
  • Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM or other CRM platforms
  • Experience in an ITIL-aligned organization a plus.
  • Wine industry experience a plus, but not required.
