IT Help Desk Support Specialist

People Incorporated Mental Health Services is hiring an IT Help Desk Support Specialist to join our IT Team at Ames Impact Center in Eagan, MN. This position will act as the main point of contact for information technology related service tickets and will also provide in-person support.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm

Location: Ames Impact Center located at 3000 Ames Crossing Road, Suite 600 Eagan, MN 55121

Hiring range: $20.85 - $22.70/hour Depending on experience

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one year of Information Technology Help Desk Support experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Preference given to candidates with an Associate of Arts degree.
• Preference given to those with MCDST, Net+ and/or A+ certification

Main Job duties

• Support by documenting and prioritizing Help Desk Service Ticket requests and apply commonly accepted troubleshooting techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and recommend solutions that are appropriate to the user and their needs.
• Provide initial triage and escalate Help Desk Service Tickets as needed
• Work with vendors to facilitate warranty repair as needed.
• Confer with end-users to discuss issues such as computer data access needs, security violations, programming changes and collaborate with other IT staff on possible solutions.
• Install/upgrade new hardware and software systems including corporate computer lifecycle management
• Reload/reimage desktops and laptops as needed
• Setting up, maintaining, and removing end user accounts and licensing
• Submit inventory changes on organization equipment including desktop computers, laptops, and cellular devices.
