Information Technology (IT) Director

For over 30 years, Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services has been providing compassionate and dependable medical and non-medical home health care services throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Through our quality care, we help our clients with the medical, physical, and emotional strain that comes when home health care is needed the most.  

Preferred is hiring an Information Technology (IT) director. The IT director will manage and direct the company’s IT operations, ensuring the department provides efficient and effective technical support service.

Responsibilities of Position

The IT director will oversee the IT team, manage the company’s technology operations, and ensure IT systems are functioning within the limits of time, budget, and company specifications.

1. Leads development and implementation processes for the organization’s IT systems and department

2. Identifies and eliminates security vulnerabilities with strategic solutions that increase data security

3. Analyzes business requirements for IT needs and systems

4. Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure

5. Identifies the need for upgrades, configurations, or new systems and reports them to upper management

6. Oversees project management and development of applications

7. Ensures smooth delivery and operation of IT services by monitoring systems performance

8. Creates processes and standards for selection, implementation, and support of systems

9. Provides guidance, direction, and training to IT team

10. Performs other related duties as assigned

11. Leads contracting and negotiations

12. Provides IT day-to-day support when needed

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, or a related field

2. Minimum six years of experience working in IT operations and leading IT teams

3. Strong background in cybersecurity (CISSP preferred, but not required)

4. Experience with DevOps, Agile, and managing the SDLC

5. Certifications and continuing education preferred

6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

7. Experience with network protocols, security, and management

8. Experience in regulations and compliance  

9. Proficient in the latest technology for IT systems and management (VOIP, Mobile, SaaS, Cloud, etc.)

10. Proficient in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Office 365

11. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire company

Special Requirements

1. Travel is required

2. You will be required to demonstrate proficiency of outlined requirements throughout the interview process

3. Able to lift 50 lbs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
