Ryder is hiring immediately for an Inventory Management Attendant in Miramar, FL!

This position is responsible for maintaining an inventory of electronic equipment used by AT&T technicians. Daily activities will include but not be limited to taking orders over the phone, computer, and instant messaging. The candidate will source, select, and pack equipment requested as well as conduct a weekly physical inventory and log it. If the part is not available locally they will source outside local area and arrange transportation. This position also has an after-hours requirement. The candidate will be on call approximately 1 week per month. Additional compensation will be given for after-hours activities

About the position:
  • Consistent pay: $16.00/hr
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
  • Requirements:
    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Must be comfortable using a computer (Outlook & Excel specifically) to track shipments
    • Good customer service/communication skills
    • Data Entry
    • Select and Pack
    • Must be able to work with minimum supervision and be accountable
    • Should be able to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Other requirements:
  • Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug test

Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience
  • Ability to
    • Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
    • Manage multiple assignments and tasks, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions and work assignments
    • Recognize and read location, date and product codes
    • Work independently and as a member of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, division and multiplication) (beginner level)
  • Depending on location may be required to be equipment certified
  • Safety Sensitive Position, Non-Regulated Tech - Depending on location, may be required to operate and be equipment certified
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits
  • Conduct audits of inbound and outbound shipments
  • Participate in physical inventories as necessary
  • Provide floor support to Operation Supervisors and hourly associates regarding inventory issues
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies as needed
  • Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) with emphasis on safety
  • Ensure inventory accuracy to meet client demands
  • Perform other duties as assigned
