Position Summary

Under the direction of the Inventory Manager, leads a group of employees to maintain an accurate inventory of materials in the facility by working directly with Receiving and Purchasing, verifying sufficient inventory for production using inventory system, reconciling and reporting to management.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Lead a group of employees within the Inventory Dept. to safely and effectively perform all aspects of their jobs
• Based upon information provided by the Plant Scheduler, Production Supervision and Project Managers, gives work assignments to forklift drivers to ensure product for next day jobs are transported to staging locations and that orders are picked 48 hours in advance
• Responsible for clearing of production lines and transporting product back into inventory
• Maintains continuous and accurate cycle counting of the facility
• Directs the Cycle Counters and forklift drivers in the cycle counting process on shift
• Maintain monthly inventory of designated supplies, pallets, work-in-process product and finished goods
• Prepare and participate in yearly physical inventory
• Take ownership of inventory of stretch film, poly bags, shrinks, and any materials needed
• Verify Open Stock and Materials that are on order
• Direct monthly product inventory, do verifications and keep spreadsheets up to date
• Understand and utilize 5-S

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Work Experience Required
At least two or more years related experience with Inventory Control and or combination of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired

• Ability to lead a group of employees to safely perform their tasks and to develop their job-related abilities
• Detail-orientated and pay close attention to accuracy
• Ability to properly handle confidential information and records
• Ability to interpret instructions both oral and written
• Ability to analyze information gathered in order to identify potential problems or discrepancies
• Demonstrates responsibility and ownership of inventory or outside materials under his/her responsibility
• Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to this job
