About the Role

Under the direction and supervision of the Training and Compliance Manager, the Inventory and Asset Specialist manages all rides and parts inventory, facilities inventory, park wide assets and manages all validation of PO’s cut by the department. Responsible for managing and supporting the entire department in use of the Parks Asset management system, INFOR.

Role Description

• Inventory and Asset Specialist responsibilities will be, but not limited to, the following:

• Validate all PO’s and received items as they come into the department.

• Quarterly Inventory of entire parts cage for tracking and validating used items to match up to reactive maintenance work orders.

• Tracking of all work orders throughout EAM – Infor, park wide asset management system. Working with department managers to close out overdue work orders.

• Updating Assets in INFOR system for most up to date information in system.

• Track and manage audits of all tool kits that are issued out to employees and work locations.

• Daily contact to employees across site regarding tasks, problem solving and management.

• Managing of SDS system and Tier 2 reports for local jurisdictions.

• Working closely with the department assistant managers to lend mutual aid to all issues that arise throughout the day to build a cohesive team atmosphere.

• Organize materials, tools and equipment to perform daily assignments.

• Always maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.

• Maintain the proper use, cleaning, maintenance, and storage of all equipment.

About You

• Previous Inventory and Asset tracking a must.

• Good organizational skills are necessary to take charge of organizing inventory and improving the efficiency of the selection and shipping process.

• The ability to manage multiple projects at one time in an efficient and timely manner is important in this position.

• Good written and verbal communication skills are crucial for negotiating contracts, interviewing new vendors, and developing new inventory processes.

• Problem-solving skills to come up with ways to improve overall efficiency and overcome inventory problems.

• OSHA 10 for General Industry a plus.

• Project Management skills when dealing with trades vendors.

• Previous Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Previous Experience with NetSuite.

• Previous Experience with Asset Management Systems, like Infor, Maximo, CMMS, Asset Panda a plus.

• Prior forklift and warehouse experience as plus.

• Strong people management skills to develop an effective team environment.

• Ensures internal compliance with maintenance, safety and security procedures by following established ASTM (American Society for Testing & Materials International), NEC (National Electrical Code), NSF (National Science Foundation), OHSA as well as state and local codes.

• Ensure full compliance of policies and procedures set forth within the Health, Safety & Security in the workplace and in line with the Merlin Entertainments Group Policy.

• Understand risk assessments within own workplace and ensure reporting of any new risks to appropriate manager.

• Compliance of safe working procedures for work activities within one’s job role, but cognizant of the effects on others prior to the activity/function.

• In cases of incidents or accidents ensure appropriate reporting is done in a timely manner to the duty manager.
