JOB FUNCTION
District-wide position which supports student achievement and reduce the achievement gap; Work as a colleague with classroom teachers to support student learning and reduce the achievement gap; Use data and District approved programs to support Tier 2 and Tier 3 students through individual or small group instruction; Responsible for monitoring, reporting, and communicating student progress and performance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in a job-related area, a valid Illinois Professional Educator License, and an Elementary Education Endorsement are required. Math Intervention Certificate, Reading Intervention Certificate, and English as Second Language Endorsement preferred. Any equivalent combination of training, education, or experience that meets the minimum requirements.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; and significant fine finger dexterity. The general job required 30% sitting, 50% walking, and 20% standing. The job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Makes group selection based on assessment data.
- Provides support in analyzing student assessment data.
- Develops a student centered system of intervention that effectively works to close the achievement gap in math and reading.
- Monitors the progress of entire caseload, maintains records in Embrace.
- Communicates with teachers, administration, and families regarding student progress
- Ensures that students are able to master grade level standards and curriculum by tutoring individuals and groups at risk of difficulty in math and/or reading.
- Works with MTSS team to help identify the best practices for individual students and groups of students.
- Uses teaching materials approved by the district for tier 2 and tier 3.
- Manages and requests material orders that are necessary for performing job functions.
- Attends grade level planning and data meetings.
- Continue professional development as provided by the District.
- Other duties as assigned by the Principal and Administrative Team.

- Have foundational knowledge in specific field.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedures and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of staff, students, administrators and the general public.
- Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
- Engage in collaborative dialogue with peers
- Demonstrates patience for working with students who are struggling learners.
- Shows the ability to create and maintain a safe, orderly environment that is conducive to learning
- Maintain records in Embrace
- Meet the requirements of schedules and time lines
- Efficiently employ differentiated management methods
- Stay up to date with evidenced based intervention
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with other certified and non-certified personnel, parents, and community members.
