Responsibilities:

Design, test, and implement various public and private integrations between application. Create APIs, transformations, and scalable web services, while working closely with your teammates in an agile environment. Will be involved in each stage of software development including data structure completion, architecture design, code review, performance evaluation, internal tool management, and updates.

  • Conceptualize, design, program, test, implement, and deploy software applications using the appropriate documentation, processes, and quality standards.
  • Design and deliver tight integrations between internal applications as well as external products using HL7, public APIs, private APIs, and complex message transformations.
  • Perform formal code reviews to ensure specifications and standards are met.
  • Independently apply problem solving skills to investigate and research complex system problems to establish root cause and resolution.
  • Ensure accuracy of coding by utilizing software configuration, version, and quality management processes.
  • Employ the latest technology and architecture to re-build and improve legacy applications.
  • Become immersed in HST’s existing technology framework and new software architecture.
  • Develop well designed, testable, high quality, efficient code meeting requirement enhancements.
  • Adhere to the HST’s coding standards and best practices.
  • Become proficient in HST’s applications to troubleshoot, analyze, and fix software issues.
  • Assist with load testing new framework.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/similar technical field and/or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years development experience
  • 2+ years with AWS and other cloud-based development methodologies/best practices
  • Experience with HL7, Mirth, API Gateway, Olympus preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills required.
  • Healthcare experience a plus
