Insurance Producer- Commercial Lines

Our agency is committed to responsible and sustainable growth and is looking for Producers/Risk Advisors for both Commercial and Employee Benefits lines who can not only fulfill the regular duties of each position but flourish within our company’s missional culture.

Objectives of this role

  • Generate new business opportunities in our Commercial Lines program serving as a trusted advisor
  • Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with clients and community members
  • Act as part of a dynamic and collaborative team
  • Manage the full cycle of the sales process while working closely with the Practice Leader and Sales Director developing marketing plans in assigned territories

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Qualify, develop, and maintain deep company and product knowledge
  • Continual education on laws and regulations associated with commercial lines insurance including OSHA, Workers Compensation, property, equipment, agriculture, construction and cyber
  • Generate leads and grow existing relationships
  • Maintain an accurate, detailed client book
  • Develop an active, repeat customer base
  • Make cold calls or perform warm outreach, putting outside-the-box thinking to work to develop new and unique sales tactics
  • Work with the Sales team to design industry-specific outbound efforts
  • Utilize Salesforce.com tool to ensure standard processes during all sales stages
  • Conduct month-end and year-end close processes
  • Expand professional skill sets by attending regular workshops, networking events, and professional organizations
  • Presenting renewal proposals to existing clients
  • Advising clients on the best coverage and policies for their unique business

Qualifications

  • Property and Casualty license
  • 2-3 years of inside or outside sales experience
  • Ability to negotiate with executive-level individuals
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the commercial insurance market
  • Basic proficiency in software applications commonly used in a digital work environment as well as the ability to learn new applications
