INSPECTION TECHNICIAN

Summary & Responsibilities

As an Inspection Technician, your job is to perform inspections with the building and safety department, to receive approval to operate from the city.

The basic requirements are:

· Scheduling inspection at least two days in advance

· Review plans and permit to make sure install matches plans

· Perform inspection with building inspector showing them all parts of the install

· After inspection, you are required to upload all signed documents to customers’ work order via iPad

A final inspection will take place between 8:00am and 4:30pm. You are required to arrive 30 minutes early, gain access to the equipment from the homeowner, and open all equipment for the inspector.

The basic requirements:

· Basic electrical knowledge, breaker swap, PV wire connections, etc.

· Climb up to 28’ ladder, or multiple ladders to 2+ story roofs

· Basic hand/power tool knowledge

· Ability to navigate through multiple apps to upload information

· Will be driving up to 100+ miles per day

· Responsible to keep plans/permit in possession until job is complete

· Self-driven; must be efficient while working independently

· Must possess a valid driver’s license

· Good driving record
