What makes this a great opportunity?

Reporting to the Director, Marketing Tequila Innovation, this role will play a key role in the Hornitos FBS brand strategy and creative direction, developing the programs, assets, and tools for markets around the world to realize the brands’ vision including launch strategies, go-to-market plans, brand experiences, and then building the assets and tools to execute that vision.


Working with key cross functional and agency partners, this role will assist the Tequila Brand House with the creation of mid-term strategic marketing objectives and strategies, and will lead asset development, innovation management, and business reporting and analytics for the Brands businesses, enabling market teams to deliver against volume, sales and profit growth objectives each year


Role Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of the full marketing innovation strategy for Hornitos brand – defining the objective, strategy, propositions, pricing, design, growth model
  • Assist in the development of the innovation pipeline for the Hornitos FBS
  • Lead, develop and deliver a range of innovation projects, with strong strategic benefit that are commercially viable and meet agreed timelines.
  • Manage a cross functional, multi-market team to deliver projects efficiently and effectively, from initial ideation, through concept development, liquid, and packaging design, to commercialization in market.
  • Work closely with key marketing and consumer insights partners to inspire and facilitate development of products that target emerging and unmet consumer needs.
  • Partner with consumer insights team to develop optimum consumer tools and methodology specific to each innovation project, providing valuable input into screeners, questionnaires, and action standards.
  • Direct and influence the R&D product and packaging teams to develop excellence in taste delivery and pack presentation.
  • Drive understanding of the emerging trends in tequila & agave full bottle spirits as well as RTD’s and ensure that these are integrated fully into the BSI portfolio in key markets
  • Work in partnership with brand teams for any asset development on all tequila & agave spirit innovations

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Management or closely related field; MBA preferred
  • Years of experience- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a marketing innovation and/or brand marketing role involving CPG, food and beverage, or beer / spirits experience
  • Level of experience- Experience managing and collaborating with cross-functional teams and/or agency partners exceptional organization and project management skills, with a track record of delivering on time and above expectations
  • Travel %- Up to 20% travel

Additional qualifications desired: Strong business acumen, with proven experience in financial analysis; Experience identifying and applying consumer insights to new products development; Resourceful, with a problem-solving mindset and willingness to think creatively to reach resolutions; Collaborative and able to build bridges across cross-functional teams, cultures and geographies; Active listening skills; ability to listen for feedback, and validate and address concerns; Excellent influencing and presentation skills.


Salary Range

The salary range for this role is a base salary of $135,000 - $150,000 along with an annual bonus, 401K match, profit sharing, and medical and wellness benefits. Salary range is commensurate with candidate’s location, experience and skillset.
