The Information Technology Manager is accountable for the development, communication and implementation of IT strategies and technologies to support the IT strategic plan and business objectives. This position ensures the vision is driven to support technology solutions and high quality results. The IT Manager participates in business strategy development and technology planning, bringing a current knowledge and future vision of technology and systems to ensure the enterprises competitive advantage. This role understands and is committed to continuous development and application of core IT and leadership proficiencies and the value they bring to business processes and in achieving results. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with vendors and internal customers, including senior division and organizational leadership to ensure continuous customer happiness.

  • Engages in technology discussions with the team to guide and mentor associates to the appropriate solutions applying technical knowledge and experience.
  • Engages and mobilizes human resources by establishing clear direction and setting stretch objectives.
  • Builds collaborative relationships/teamwork including vendors.
  • Attracts, coaches and develops other.
  • Achieves business excellence by establishing management priorities, defining performance indicators, crafting and utilizing key metrics and performance indicators to measure service levels.
  • Drives talent development in a way that builds and supports current and future organizational goals and individual needs.
  • Drives a strategy and systems to retain and engage dedicated individuals.
  • Manages the department including interviewing and hiring employees following required EEO and Affirmative Action guidelines and ensuring employees receive the accurate training.
  • Conducts performance evaluation, and is responsible for leading employees, including skill and career development, policy administration, mentoring on performance management and behavior, employee relations and cost control.
Nice to Have:
  • Bachelor's degree or Masters in Computer Science or related field.
  • Security experience and knowledge with the ability to actively participate in discussions regarding security needs.
  • Development experience with JavaScript, Java, Node, Microservice architecture, mobile apps and API's
  • Experience and familiarity with AWS services and capabilities. AWS certification a plus
  • Experience with configurable low code platforms such as Salesforce
  • Experience with DevSecOps
Required Skills and Experiences:
  • 5+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
  • 3 years of staff management and software project development, delivery and support experience.
  • A proven track record of leading and building hard-working teams.
  • A proven track record of coordinating the HR, resource management, policies and procedures, etc. within an application development department.
  • Experience customizing, implementing and working with various application development and quality improvement methods, including RUP, XP or other agile development methods, CMM(I), etc.
  • A background that includes time spent as a portfolio/project manager and an application architect or technical lead.
Role Designation:
Hybrid Remote
Role designation definition: Teleworking is working full time remote. Hybrid is a combination of working onsite and remotely. Onsite is full-time onsite.
