Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, Developmental Specialists provide direct and indirect care to early intervention clients at Family First. Developmental Specialists are responsible for conducting early intervention assessments, designing and implementing development programs, providing parent training and direct service support to clients in early intervention programs funded by the regional center.

Family First services a variety of individuals in home and community settings. We offer early intervention programs, and parent education and training programs along with in-home and telehealth direct care services.

This organization's goal is to empower parents and caregivers to become experts in their child's development, with the knowledge to meet any learning challenge with confidence. We do this through evidence-based practices, training, and consultation.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • BA in Child Development, Psychology or related field
  • Must Pass DOJ/FBI background check
  • Proficient use of technology including tablet and laptop, and programs such as Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.
  • Reliable vehicle, a driver’s license and car insurance.
  • Experience with developmental assessments (i.e. HELP, BAYLEY), early intervention program design, implementation and evaluation preferred (not required)
  • Experience with case management

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Disseminate developmental programming information in a clinical and ethical manner
  • Development and implementation of client developmental programs with clinical oversight and support
  • Program updates: goals, behavior plans, recommendations
  • Professional attendance including staff meetings, clinical meetings and IEPs
  • Early Intervention assessments and recommendations updates and exit reports
