Industrial Painter

Pay: $16-24/hr.

Hours: Monday-Thursday 6AM-4:30PM

Job Requirements:

Must Own or be willing to purchase the minimum set of tools required for job and a locking toolbox. Basic skill in Microsoft Word and Excel. 2 years MINIMUM experience in industrial painting. Must be able to wear a respirator during periods of painting or coating parts.

Job Description:

Must be able to process parts to be coated using 2-part polyurethane DTM paint and bake out through the oven process and inspect when completed to ensure quality standards are met. The successful finisher/painter will have experience with electrostatic paint gun, a pressure pot, conventional gun, HVLP cup gun and a working knowledge on sandblasting. Our finisher/painters must also be able to interpret all prints, sketches, and verbal descriptions.

Job Description:

Senior level position that sandblasts, cleans and paints compressors and all other equipment as directed with limited supervision.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Operates cleaning equipment and prepares equipment for painting. Ability to mix all types of paint systems and applies these to customer and company specifications. Operate sandblast equipment to customer and company specifications. Masks and feathers old paint in preparation for new paint. Must have knowledge of required tools and maintenance care. Completes Dry Film Thickness (DFT) readings, Psychrometer readings and Surface Temperature readings. Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department. Requires frequent operation of heavy equipment such as forklift and scissor lift. High school diploma Required Experience & Skills. 5 years related experience Troubleshooting and providing technical recommendations.
