The Industrial Engineering Manager is responsible for New Product Development initiatives, including design, fabrication, and installation for improving existing physical plant facilities and manufacturing systems for Plastics.

  • Design and oversee fabrication and installation of new equipment, controls, and machine components.
  • Develop designs for improving mechanical and electrical systems or quality on existing plant equipment.
  • Investigate and follow through with improvements for quality improvements, cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Directs Plastics personnel in the installation or repair of equipment according to specific design guidelines.
  • Work closely with Corporate Engineering, Wisconsin on major equipment or building additions or improvements.
  • Assists in reviewing equipment purchases to ensure that applicable safety requirements are met.
  • Studies and verifies that work being performed by outside contractors meets all required specifications.
  • Develops feasibility studies on new ideas and innovations, which would relate to Quality and manufacturing systems.
  • Prepares status reports on long term and specialty projects.

Skills/Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or engineering or plant engineering or construction engineering on industrial projects.
  • Management experience required.
