Job Summary


The Minnesota Gambling Control Board (GCB) is looking for a Human Resource Technician to assist with staffing, payroll auditing, expense reports, and financial and HR transactions. This position exists to provide para-professional human resource management and financial management services to the Business Manager.

This position is temporary and is anticipated to last approximately 6 months.

This position is eligible to telework up to 3 days/week after completion of training. Telework agreements are subject to change.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience working in a professional office environment providing customer service in person, on the phone, and through email and other written correspondence
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft or similar HR software
  • Skills in word processing, managing spreadsheets and data, database entry and maintenance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SEMA4, PeopleSoft, or similar software to process personnel transactions such as position changes, appointments, leaves, separations, and wage increases
  • Experience with Accounts Payable and Receivable practices
  • Experience with Statewide Integrated Financial Tools (SWIFT), PeopleSoft, or similar software to process financial transactions
  • Experience with administration of FMLA, sick leave, and vacation leave
  • Experience working in a HR office
