Please note that this position will report to our Stoughton Operations Center until we move to Norton, MA in the fall of 2023.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the daily operations of all Human Resource job functions. Along with the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Generalist will work with management to support company policy and procedures. The Human Resources Generalist is the key contact for all employees including our stores and operations center. You must have the ability to build strong relationships and influence others at all levels, both internally and externally, to be viewed as a business partner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process and manage Yale’s benefit program including eligibility tracking, new hire meetings, working with benefits broker, enrollments, and changes in ADP, working with third party vendors to resolve any conflicts, and auditing benefit billing.
  • Backup to the payroll administrator duties.
  • Manage the on boarding process; internal systems setup and prepare and administer new hire orientation.
  • Apply advanced Human Resources rules, process, and procedures to various situations to ensure accuracy and confidentiality and treat all employees in a fair and consistent manner according to company policies and employment laws.
  • Maintain and audit all end/beginning of year forms – i.e. employee handbook, job standards, emergency contact, FSA enrollments, benefits etc.
  • Maintain HR files including purging of files and record keeping compliance.
  • Administrative support on compliance projects/reports, i.e. governmental, state, CORI, vendor compliance, COBRA, OSHA, and workers compensation
  • Coordinate physicals/drug screens for Delivery, Service and Warehouse teams.
  • Generate and distribute monthly newsletter, assist with wellness program, and company events.
  • Monitor and update all HR forms and employee lists on the company Intranet and other special projects as assigned.
  • Occasional local travel to our two store locations.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimally 3 years of experience in Human Resources with a focus on benefit administration, policies, and organizational development.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and conduct one’s work with sound judgment is necessary. Integrity and honesty foremost
  • Outstanding interpersonal, listening, communication and organizational skills that allow you to interface in a professional and cooperative manner with employees and outside vendors.
  • Must be a resolute collaborator to be able to work with all departments within the company to achieve resolutions.
  • Cheerful outlook, excellent work ethic, and elevated level of customer service and follow up.
  • High diligence and accuracy necessary.
  • Strong project management skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent professional verbal, written and phone communications is required.
  • Must be a “initiative-taker” who will identify problems and initiate corrective actions within scope of responsibilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office and excel.
  • Proficient in Human Resources systems including benefits and performance processes. ADP is required.
  • PHR Certification preferred.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
