Job Summary:

As the HR Coordinator you will be responsible to maintain, support and enhance the organization's talent, culture and functional excellence, while building a strong partnership with the business leaders and current employees.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer employee questions as contacted related to People Team items.
  • Assist the Director or People Operations and Training Manager with special projects and duties as directed.
  • Assist with completing employee payroll semi-monthly and off cycle payrolls related to bonuses, commissions, and final pay laws as applicable.
  • Analyze employment-related data and prepare required reports.
  • Benefit data knowledge, system updates, and record keeping.
  • Manage garnishments, contributions, 401k, and other payables.
  • Support the development and maintenance of employee data files within iSolved, All Savers, Principal, and John Hancock.
  • Schedule and/or conduct new employee orientations.
  • Maintain position control and open position reports.
  • Conduct reference or background checks on job applicants as directed.
  • Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
  • Hire employees and process hiring-related paperwork.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
  • Prepare or maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system software.
  • Complete onboarding entries for all new hires into HRIS system.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Preferred)
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR (Preferred)
  • Proficient in iSolved (Preferred)
  • Understanding of HR systems and operations
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail & processing data sets with a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and must be able to meet deadlines.
  • Able to work well under pressure.
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills

Physical Requirements:

The HR Generalist is frequently required to operate a computer and file and retrieve written and electronically stored documents. Comfortable talking on a phone to complete HR tasks. The physical demands include, but are not limited to: standing, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, handling, kneeling, crouching, and bending. Clerical positions can be mentally challenging.


Work Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday
  • 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • This an onsite position.

FLSA Classification:

  • Nonexempt
