Position Summary


Nestlé Purina is expanding! Introducing Nestlé Purina’s newest factory in the U.S. – in Hartwell, Georgia – just shy of 110 miles northeast of Atlanta. On more than 100 acres, this 500,000 square foot facility will serve as our most versatile facility with the ability to switch product lines faster and more efficiently than we have ever done before producing and distributing the Nestlé Purina brands our customers trust and pets love.

As the Human Resources Generalist you will provide HR support to the Hartwell factory in the areas of performance management, labor and employee relations, policy interpretation, recruiting, leave management, HR administrative processes, and more. You will provide support to the Human Resources Manager, including acting as a back-up in their absence.

  • Manage the recruiting process for hourly and salaried positions including effective partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide counsel and support to associates and leaders to maintain a productive and positive work environment, reaching fair and consistent
  • resolutions in line with guidelines and employment law.
  • Support implementation of new or updated policies, advising leaders to ensure consistency of interpretation.
  • Serve as resource for Leave Management including Leave of Absence, Short-term and Long-term Disability, FMLA, PTO, and other areas.
  • Assist in managing the salary payroll system.
  • Be fully involved and actively participate in all Nestle Purina Programs and Initiatives. These include but are not limited to NCE, Training and Development, etc.
  • All other duties as assigned.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a professional Human Resources role in a manufacturing, warehouse, military, or related environment.


Other

  • Employment law experience strongly preferred.
