JOB TITLE: HR Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources
DIRECT REPORT: HR Director
FUNCTION:
This position is responsible for handling all HR related administrative duties and assisting in employee retention by applying and enforcing company policies and practices. Maintain organized employee files and HR records. Participate in development and implementation of HR programs to benefit workplace culture and create job posts for department heads based on their hiring needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for working with all departments to ensure Guest & Employee Satisfaction.
  • Maintain physical and digital personnel, I9, benefit, J1 files. Keeping current and purging terms.
  • Post all employee related content on Beekeeper to include new employee photos, birthdays, company anniversaries and prize winners.
  • Participate in Community Project Committee. Keep minutes of meetings. Plan and order monthly employee meals, gifts, prizes, and special employee events.
  • Purchase Orders, Checkbook, obtaining all expense approval as required.
  • Collaborate with outside vendors, upper management, and employees to maintain employee relations.
  • Update bulletin board with prize winner photos.
  • Manage employee programs such as Retention Tokens, Employee of the month / year, etc.
  • Maintain ample number of employee packets for new hires. Along with forms folders kept current and filled by time clocks.
  • Update State & Federal postings annually or as needed. Update all forms as needed. Update Bulletin Boards.
  • Coordinate and assist employees with open enrollments, changes, and insurance information for employee benefit programs.
  • Monitor employee morale and company culture.
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyze employee engagement and employee turnover data and make recommendations to the HR Director.
  • Assist in processing of worker's compensation claims and leaves of absences.
  • Assist with development and facilitation training / talent enrichment materials and initiatives.
  • Meet with associates for onboarding visits at their first 15- and 45-day intervals for their new hire review and turn in monthly report. Gather information to help retention and training efforts.
  • Track authorized drivers report weekly. Ensure that it is updated as changes happen.
  • Send out employee anniversary cards monthly. Give signed anniversary cards & pins with anniversary date to managers for the next month week before.
  • Take the lead on employee recognition days such as Popcorn and Snow Cone Days, and clean machines after each use. Sign up leadership to assist.
  • Assist in J1 housing, furniture, apartment inspection, cultural activities and ensure that managers are meeting with their assigned J1's weekly.
  • Arrange CPR/First Aid Training semi-annually. Assist with Lifeguard certifications.
  • Practices the WinStar World Hotel Culture and ensures all cultural expectations are implemented and regularly practiced throughout the hotel.
  • Assist with weekly, monthly reporting.
  • Supports hotel's training needs and efforts.
  • Responsible for performing "other duties" as assigned by management

REQUIREMENTS:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one-year Human Resource experience required.
  • Knowledge of HR principles and federal/local regulations.
  • Hospitality Experience preferred.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication.
  • Must be organized and effective with time management.
  • Microsoft Office skills required, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher.
  • Strong employee relations experience.
  • Must speak, read, and write English.
  • Bilingual preferred.

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND ABILITY

  • Knowledge of the organization and operations of administrative programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and resourceful thinking.
  • Advanced computer skills, including data entry, data processing and ability to create and maintain spreadsheets and charts.
  • Attention to detail and analytically driven.
  • Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
  • Have professional phone etiquette.
  • Support diversity, employment law and have project management skills.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
